Joshua Sage Newman was born and bred in Nashville, Tennessee, and has a BFA from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. His childhood artistic endeavors ranged from traditional art classes to graffiti. He has shown in both solo and group exhibitions throughout the years in and around the Knoxville and Nashville areas, and shows regularly in the Area Fifty8 gallery in The Arcade during Nashville’s monthly art crawl. Josh has received numerous awards for his work including work in branding, photography, animation, digital compositing, and graphic design. He was awarded “Art director of the Year” by the Nashville Chapter of the American Advertising Federation. Josh continues to explore artistic expression “by any means necessary” as he works through the process of life balanced with creating art for commerce and art for its beauty and pleasure.
